1. Name
Korea-Asia Pacific
Exchange (KAPE)
2. Objectives
The KAPE holds it as
its objective to promote exchange and cooperation between the DPRK and
other Asia-Pacific countries in various fields for justice, peace and
sustainable development, thus making substantial contributions to the
regional stability and unity, and peace and development.
3. Activities
The KAPE shall:
a) Make contact with
organizations, organs and personalities in the Asia-Pacific region, that
are desirous of developing the relations with the DPR Korea in the
socio-economic and cultural fields, including science and technology,
education, literature and the arts, public health, sports and physical
culture, the environment, intellectual property, IT, tourism, the press,
on the principle of equality and reciprocity, and mutual respect; and
promote exchange and cooperation with them for justice and peace, and
sustainable development.
b) Organize
conference, seminar, lecture meeting, exhibition and other various events
aimed to make the Korean realities known to the Asia-Pacific people and
deepen their understanding of Korea; help invite their organs,
organizations and personalities to the cultural and art festivals,
cultural performances, exhibitions and other events of international,
regional and national characteristics organized in the DPR Korea.
c) Make the Asia-Pacific realities known to the organs, organizations and
personalities of the DPR Korea, so that they can share the successes and
experiences the Asia-Pacific people have gained in their struggle for a
new life; and help realize regional exchange and cooperation.
d) Make public papers,
articles, informative materials, statements and press releases on major
issues in the Asia-Pacific; and publish bulletins on important occasions.
e) Assist in the
exchange of art troupes, sports teams, medical groups, trainers and
trainees, researchers between the DPR Korea and other countries of the
region; help realize twinning projects between educational and cultural
institutions, as well as between cities.
f) Participate in the
activities of the regional and international organizations for justice and
peace, sustainable development in the Asia Pacific.
4. Membership
All the organizations
and personalities in the socio-economic and cultural fields, that approve
the Statute of the KAPE
5. Finance
Financial resources
are from the membership fees, contributions and donations from the public,
etc.
